The Lower Susquehanna Bulldog Club is comprised of over 40 members throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Maryland. Our members are breeders, handlers, fanciers, rescue volunteers, and pet owners, but the one thing we have in common is our dedication to the betterment of the Bulldog breed. These wonderful dogs are loyal, loving, and gentle, and most of the time, greatly misunderstood. The Lower Susquehanna Bulldog Club works hard to provide public education, boost breed awareness and offer outreach services through our support and participation in public events and our website. Our AKC and BCA affiliation as well as the dog shows that we hold annually confirm our commitment to uphold the Bulldog breed standard.
Becoming a member means a big responsibility, however, most people who love this breed as much as we do, also love the work involved. If you share in our love and concern for Bulldogs, consider joining us and help better the lives of Bulldogs! Membership applications can be downloaded, but must be returned via USPS to Sec. Carrie Shepley, 56 North 4th Street, Newport, PA 17074. All potential members must be approved through a vote held during a monthly club meeting. Dues of $10.00 are paid annually to maintain membership and continue receiving monthly newsletters.
The Lower Susquehanna Bulldog Club is funded by public and private donations, as well as fundraisers and club dues. All money contributed directly benefits Bulldogs in our area whether it be providing a necessary surgery for a rescued Bulldog or buying trophies for a dog show. We hold various fundraisers throughout the year, including candle sales, raffles, and bake sales. Businesses have also contributed to our club by donating goods to be sold or raffled off. Please consider donating, any amount can help improve the life of a Bulldog close by. Donations can be made to: The Lower Susquehanna Bulldog Club, c/o Terry Mahoney, Treasurer, 4425 Fargreen Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110. We thank you in advance for your support.
