Indigestion
Although the Bulldog is thought of as having a steel gut, the truth is most of them can become upset due to such things as change of diet and even emotional stress.  Stomach upset, usually referred to as gastritis can be acute or chronic and is, unfortunately, usually accompanied by vomiting.  General gastritis can be easily treated by withholding food for a specified time and then feeding a bland diet as prescribed by your veterinarian.
Another condition that can present signs of symptoms of gastritis is when the Bulldog's stomach lining does not secrete enough acid.  This is treated differently than gastritis, and your vet can help recommend a supplement to correct the dogs stomach acid levels.
